Christmas Time

I love Christmas Time... I love decorating my house, going to pick out a tree and just all the time you get to spend with family! It's a tradition for my family to celebrate Christmas a little early... We spend an entire day visiting houses to view holiday decorations and of course... Eat! I'm surprised that we all aren't over weight with the amount of food that is consumed when we get together! Good times!! We started at our house for a little brunch... Yummy Ziploc omelets, bacon, sausage and Tequila sunrises. What a way to kick off the morning! Next we were off to Nana and Papa's house for appetizers by Jason & Jayde (This year we didn't get to go to their house as they didn't decorate... Boo Hoo! They are going to Trinidad to spend Christmas with Jayde's family) Great job on the appetizer's!!! Dinner was all about Papa's Meat loaf, YUMMY!! Great Job... So good! I think this meal is one of the family favorites! Finally we finished off the evening at Auntie Julie and Uncle Donny's house for desert. Julie out did herself with a spread of choices. My favorite is Julie's /Grandma Emma's Rum Cake, Makayla's favorite was the sugar cookies! It all looked so beautiful! What a wonderful day! Merry Christmas Everyone!!!!
Another Tradition that was started a couple years back is taking the kids to Irvine Park to jump on the train to see Santa at the North Pole. Hunter was so excited that his buddies could come this year with us. Thanks Chris for bringing Emily and Trevor! Hunter was beside himself to share this with them! What a fun night with Grandpa, Nana, Papa, Chris, Emily and Trevor. Sorry Grandma... we missed you!!!

Waiting for the Train...

On the Train...

Family Picture Time on the Sleigh

I'm not sure if Makayla enjoy the visit with Santa so much... What do you think? Hunter was too cute to tell Santa...

You can bring me whatever you think is best! I loved that answer... Not sure if he meant it or he just forgot all the 40 things on his list.

Christmas Eve we spent with Grandma, Grandpa and Auntie Laurie. We had a wonderful time going to Christmas Eve church at Friends Drive in Yorba Linda and back to Nama and Dampa's house... As Makayla would say! Yummy dinner and time for more presents!

Church Christmas Eve

Makayla finally has this present thing down! Hunter of course can't pass them out fast enough!

Makayla loved her pillow from Auntie Laurie!

Thanks for a wonderful Christmas Eve Grandma and Grandpa! After a great night of Church, dinner, family time and presents it was off for home to get ready for Santa. Hunter was so excited he could hardly stand it. It was too cute... When we went to the grocery store earlier in the day to get last minute things, Hunter reminds me... Mommy we need carrots for Santa's reindeer! So off to the produce dept. we go. I picked up ONE carrot and Hunter looks at me like I was crazy! No Mommy he says... We need one for all the reindeers! So after resighting the reindeer song to make sure we had enough for all the reindeers and we didn't miss one we could go home! They had 3 special cookies and hot Chocolate for Santa and don't forget the carrots for the reindeers. Off to bed they went. Can't wait to see what Santa brings!!!

Wow... Santa was good to the Kids!
(don't mind Will Smith on the TV screen)

Santa must have loved those Cookies! Carrots are all gone too!

Christmas morning is such a blur... It started about 7ish and that's early for my kids! Hunter ringing the bell to wake everyone up! Can I open my presents now was all we heard for the next 15 minutes. Okay go ahead!!! And the Crazyness began! It's so much fun to see their faces... wide eyes and open mouth as they go through the presents and stockings. Santa... you did good!

After a couple hours we had everyone over to see what Santa had brought the kids. Auntie Julie made her ebleskeevers (Another one of Grandma Emma's traditions) we hung out and played the Wii until it was time to head over to Auntie Rosie and Uncle Dennis' house for Christmas dinner and some fun grab gifts. It was a great night filled with family time and wonderful food... once again!

One of my favorite gifts!

Merry Christmas Everyone
